Path
Van Allen Hall consists of two primary building wings. The main portion of the building is located along the south side of Jefferson Street, between Dubuque and Linn Streets. It houses general classrooms and the departments of Physics and Astronomy and Science Education. The lecture room wing extends toward the south, facing Iowa Avenue, and houses Lecture Rooms I and II. The accessible entrance to the office wing is located on Dubuque Street, at the west end of the building. This entrance is equipped with a power door opener, and leads directly to the building elevators. Access to the lecture room wing is from Iowa Avenue. The accessible door is located at the west end of the main lobby, and is equipped with a power door opener. Access to these rooms may also be gained from within the office wing of the building.

Restrooms
An accessible restroom for each sex is located on the first floor of the office wing. The men's restroom is room 170 and the women's restroom is room 164. Accessible restrooms are also located in the lecture room lobby.
