University of Iowa News Release April 26, 2006 UI Offers All Iowa Citizens Free Trial Of Online Development Courses The University of Iowa is offering Iowans across the state a free 15-day trial of online general business courses through SkillSoft, a national online development course provider. The offer includes some 300 professional development and IT courses. Iowans may try any of 200 courses covering areas such as management, leadership and performance coaching, or any of 100 courses on software applications training. The trial comes with no obligation. Iowans who are interested in continuing can register for a subscription. The offer is made possible by the University of Iowa Division of Continuing Education, in cooperation with UI Learning and Development. The University also offers two free courses, "A Manager's Primer for Ensuring Accountability," and "Introduction to Microsoft Office 2003," which are available at any time.
